1. Links to your creative pieces inspired by our prompts

What these are:

If a prompt that you see on Yeah Write inspires you to write a story, poem, etc., you can send us a link to where you’ve posted it on your Tumblr. We’ll then put that link right on the prompt. Here is an example of what that looks like.

Step-by-step directions on how to format your submission:
1. Post your story, poem, etc. on your own Tumblr

2. Find the keyword tag on the prompt. It is the first tag on every prompt, and the only one in all capitals. http://screencast.com/t/OgcEPZmebzr Here is an example. Type this word into the title bar of the submission box.

3. Write “Story Title by Your Name” in the body of the submission box. Bonus points if you italicize the title of your story and save me the time :) “Your Name” can be whatever you want—your Tumblr URL, your real first and last name, your pen name, just your first name, “Anonymous”—however you want to be attributed.

4. Highlight the title of your story and link it to your story post. http://screencast.com/t/DijkaAHN0FMs Here’s how your submission should look.

5. Hit submit!

Do not copy and paste the body of your story, poem, etc. into the submission box. Submissions sent in this way are automatically deleted.

2. Ideas for writing prompts

4. Workshoppers

Due to a high volume of submissions, we are not currently accepting new workshoppers. Any workshopper submissions after May 28th will be deleted. Please check back in late June to see if we’ve started accepting new workshoppers again.

What these are:
Workshoppers are Tumblr users who are willing to read and give feedback on other Tumblr users’ creative writing. While we ask that you talk a little about your interests and writing background, you don’t have to be a published author who has her MFA in creative writing and is a head editor at Penguin. Everyone and anyone who’s willing to read others’ works should volunteer to workshop!
