Hi yeah writers!
For those of you who live in the Tri-state Area, New York’s biggest free book festival is coming up on Sunday, September 22: The Brooklyn Book Festival!
Some of the events I’m excited to see are titled things like The So-Called ‘Post-Feminist, Post-Racial’ Life in Publishing, Celebrate Banned Books Week!, On Truth (and Lies) in Beauty, Creating Dangerously in a Dangerous World, The World (According to Cartoonists)… okay I need to stop because I could go on and on, I don’t know how I’m going to choose. And TONS of famous writers are going to be speaking, from Meg Wolitzer to David Levithan to James McBride, plus a whole gaggle of Poet Laureates.
In an effort to foster some more IRL interaction amongst yeah writers, some of us will be meeting for coffee and a light breakfast at a great French cafe around the corner. It’s always nice to talk to writers in person about what they want out of the future of the site. And on that note, we have some secrets we’ll be sharing with you!
We’d love for you to join us! RSVP here.
